Cowskin Creek At Wichita At 119th Street affecting Sedgwick County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cowskin Creek at Wichita At 119th Street. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flood waters backup into residential yards southeast of river gage site along Lost Creek Circle and southeast of Central and Karren Streets. Flood waters begin to creep over 13th street in the low water spot about a half mile west of 119th Street. Expect typical flooding of low water crossings and low cropland areas as well as fields near the creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 19.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

Flooding is about 2 feet deep in that area. South of Clearwater the river expands to about 1/2 mile on the south bank. Expect many county roads near the river to be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 18.5 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
