THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 131 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ILLINOIS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 16 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS BOND CLINTON FAYETTE MARION MONTGOMERY WASHINGTON IN SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS CALHOUN GREENE JERSEY MACOUPIN MADISON MONROE SAINT CLAIR IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS ADAMS BROWN PIKE IN MISSOURI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 22 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MISSOURI AUDRAIN BOONE CALLAWAY COLE MONITEAU OSAGE IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI FRANKLIN GASCONADE JEFFERSON LINCOLN MONTGOMERY SAINT CHARLES SAINT LOUIS SAINT LOUIS CITY WARREN IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI KNOX LEWIS MARION MONROE PIKE RALLS SHELBY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALTON, BELLEVILLE, BOWLING GREEN, CAHOKIA, CENTRALIA, COLUMBIA, EDWARDSVILLE, FULTON, HANNIBAL, JEFFERSON CITY, LITCHFIELD, MEXICO, MOUNT STERLING, PITTSFIELD, QUINCY, SAINT CHARLES, SAINT LOUIS, SALEM, SULLIVAN, UNION, VANDALIA, AND WASHINGTON.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Adams IL, Brown IL, Calhoun IL, Greene IL, Jersey IL, Macoupin IL, Montgomery IL and Pike IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Audrain MO, Knox MO, Lewis MO, Lincoln MO, Marion MO, Monroe MO, Montgomery MO, Pike MO, Ralls MO and Shelby MO. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts of up to 3 inches may fall in this area and cause localized flooding.

Mississippi River at Clarksville. Mississippi River at Louisiana. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Winfield. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 28.3 feet, Near this height, Lakeview Drive becomes impassable and Kampville Road begins flooding in northern St. Charles County. Also, Wilson Road just north of Washeon Road and Lehmond Island Road south of Sunset Drive are flooded at this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 26.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:00 PM CDT Friday was 26.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.4 feet this afternoon. It will then rise to 28.3 feet early Tuesday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
