THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 520 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN DODGE JEFFERSON KENOSHA MILWAUKEE RACINE WALWORTH WAUKESHA THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BEAVER DAM, BROOKFIELD, DELAVAN, EAST TROY, ELKHORN, FORT ATKINSON, JEFFERSON, KENOSHA, LAKE GENEVA, MAYVILLE, MENOMONEE FALLS, MILWAUKEE, MUSKEGO, NEW BERLIN, RACINE, WATERTOWN, WAUKESHA, WAUPUN, AND WHITEWATER.

At 1221 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over northeastern Milwaukee, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Northern Milwaukee, Whitefish Bay, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Bayside, Glendale, River Hills, Milwaukee Hoan Bridge, Shorewood, Marquette University, Maier Festival Park, and UW-Milwaukee. This includes the following highways... Interstate 43 between mile markers 73 and 82. Interstate 41 near mile marker 48. Interstate 794 between mile markers 1 and 2.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth and Waukesha. * WHEN...Until 245 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1137 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
