In New York, Eastern Columbia and Eastern Rensselaer Counties. In Vermont, Bennington County. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will increase through the overnight, with the strongest south to southeast wind gusts to 60 mph late tonight into Friday morning. Winds will switch to the west for Friday afternoon into late Friday evening and remain gusty.

Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest winds gusts within the south to southwesterly flow tonight into early Friday morning will be across the higher elevations of the southern Greens of Vermont, Berkshires of Massachusetts, eastern Catskills and Taconics of eastern New York and the Litchfield Hills of northwest Connecticut. All areas will see widespread strong gusty winds very late Friday morning through late Friday evening.
