IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Wake Forest, Carrboro, and Butner. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 165 and 187. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 261 and 301. Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 1 and 16. Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 0 and 24.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville and Wake. * WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 837 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
