* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Miami-Dade. * WHEN...Until 530 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 431 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... At 417 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm over Miramar Parkway And University Drive, or near Pembroke Pines, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Miramar, Davie, Miami Gardens, Hallandale, North Miami Beach, Dania Beach, Cooper City, West Park, Royal Palm Ranches, Ravenswood Estates, Sunshine Acres, Country Club, Estates Of Fort Lauderdale, Chambers Estates, Miramar Parkway And University Drive, Oak Point, and Intersection I-75 And Griffin Road.
