At 1120 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding occurring due to earlier thunderstorms. Areas from Bismarck to Danville were most impacted, with several roads flooded and vehicles stranded. Area weather stations reported 3 to 7 inches of rain has fallen thus far, including 6.40 inches in Bismarck, 5.62 inches at Vermilion Regional Airport, and 4.63 inches at Alvin. Flooding impacts will continue, but little additional rainfall is expected. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Danville, Vermilion Regional Airport, Bismarck, Henning and Alvin.
