A strong cold front will sweep through the area today, bringing 35-45 mph wind gusts and rapidly falling temperatures. As temperatures quickly fall below freezing from west to east throughout the day, standing water on roads and sidewalks may freeze, creating isolated slick spots. There will also be some isolated snow showers throughout the day with little or no accumulation outside of the higher mountain ridges.
