* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Indiana, including the following counties, Lake IN and Porter. * WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 407 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms with rates to 2 inches per hour. The heaviest rainfall was located from near Gary to near Merrillville. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen so far. Additional showers and thunderstorms may move into the area over the next few hours. - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
