At 22:33 on June 30, 2025, the Hotan Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for sandstorms: it is expected that there will be sandstorms in the urban area of Hotan City, Gujiang Bage Township, Tusala Town, Xiaoerbag Township, Yiliqi Township, Laskui Town, Jiya Township, Yulongkashi Town, and Akchale Township tonight. The minimum visibility will be reduced to below 1000 meters, with gusts of 5-6 levels in the north. The wind speed in the northern desert area and windward areas can reach 7 levels or above. Please pay attention to prevention.

Description

Sandstorms may occur within 12 hours (visibility is less than 1000m), or sandstorms have occurred and may continue.

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall do a good job in preventing sand and dust storms in accordance with their duties;

2. Close doors and windows, reinforce enclosures, scaffolds, billboards and other structures that are easily blown by the wind, properly arrange outdoor objects that are easily affected by high winds, cover building materials, and do a good job of sealing precision instruments;

3. Take care to bring dust-proof supplies such as masks and gauze to avoid damage to the eyes and respiratory tract caused by sand and dust;

4. Patients with respiratory diseases and those who are more sensitive to wind and sand should not go outdoors.
