Northwestern Nueces County in south central Texas... Southwestern San Patricio County in south central Texas... * Until 815 AM CDT. * At 518 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Orange Grove, San Patricio, Midway, Alfred-South La Paloma, Alfred, Westdale, Bluntzer, Sandia, Banquete, Tecalote and Agua Dulce.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of rain, at times heavy, will continue through the week and into the upcoming weekend. Fairly widespread totals of 2 to 4 inches can be expected with localized totals of up to 6 inches through Monday.
