At 22:09 on May 2, 2025, the Kashgar Meteorological Observatory upgraded the blue warning signal for strong winds to a yellow warning signal for strong winds. It is expected that from the night of May 2 to the day of May 3, Kashgar City and Shufu County will experience intermittent northwest gusts of around 8 levels. Gushi Township, Wupar Town, Shiyuan Town in Shufu County, Langan Town, Baishkeranmu Township, Huangdi Township, and Pahatakiri Township in Kashgar City will experience wind speeds of up to 9-10 levels with gusts of 11 levels, accompanied by sandstorms or short-term sandstorms.
