* WHAT...Temporary whiteout conditions across narrow corridors in the warning area. Flash freezing is also expected in these narrow snow bands. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Illinois and east central and northeast Iowa. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CST this evening. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Temporary whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Strong winds will also make driving difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In a snowband, conditions will quickly become treacherous with whiteout conditions and flash freezing conditions. Apart from the snow bands impacts may be more limited.
