Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock affecting Kingman County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ninnescah River near Peck. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, The north approach of the river bridge is flooded. Flood waters begin to spread to a width of 1 mile along the north bank. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 5.9 feet early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by very wet soils with additional localized heavy rainfall possible. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kansas, including the following counties, in south central Kansas, Butler, Cowley, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Reno, Sedgwick and Sumner. In southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A gradual uptick in isolated to scattered thunderstorms is expected this evening through tonight across the watch area. While not everyone will see a thunderstorm, and widespread heavy rainfall appears unlikely at this time, additional localized pockets of heavy rainfall will only aggravate or re-aggravate ongoing flooding concerns across the region.
