At 22:58 on September 18, 2025, the Meigu County Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for lightning: townships (streets) such as Wahou Township, Saku Township, Hongxi Town, Longmen Township, Equgu Township, Liuhong Township, Lama Town, Luo eigan Township, Jiukou Township, Houbo Naituo Town, Hougumo Town, Niuniuba Town, Dianbu Township, Xinqiao Town, Hegulo Township, Jingye Texi Township, Jueluo Township, and Bapu Town in Meigu County may experience lightning activity within 6 hours, which may cause lightning disasters and accidents. Lightning activity may be accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, short-term gusts of strong winds, hail, and other severe convective weather.
