Songtao County Meteorological Observatory issues yellow lightning warning

At 2:18 am on May 13th, the Songtao County Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow lightning warning signal: it is expected that thunderstorms will occur in southern towns such as Zhaiying, Mengxi, Wuluo, Pujue, Shaba, Pingtou, and Niulang in our county in the next 6 hours. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, strong winds, and other strong convective weather. It is recommended to stop outdoor activities and try to hide in buildings with lightning protection facilities.

Lightning activities may occur within 6 hours, which may cause lightning disasters.

据市气象台预报，预计12日夜间至13日上午，全市阴天有阵雨或雷雨，雨量中到大雨，市中南部局地暴雨，最大小时雨强30～40mm，最大累计雨量70mm左右，强降水集中时段为12日23时-13日08时，并伴有雷电、短时强降水等强对流天气。各有关地区各有关部门要动态开展会商研判，聚焦地质灾害隐患点、风险斜坡、公路边坡、城市易涝点、山塘水库以及低洼地段等关键部位，强化预警叫应和群众避险转移工作；要严密防范强降雨天气对水上交通、道路交通、旅游、建筑施工等行业的不利影响，必要时果断落实“关、停、撤、转”措施；加强工地工棚、户外广告牌、高空作业装置等重点部位的风险防范，严防各类灾害事故发生。遇突发险情灾情第一时间上报，市应急局值班电话：0856-5206570。
