Taicang Meteorological Observatory issues a yellow warning for severe convection

At 01:55 on October 16, 2025, the Taicang Meteorological Observatory issued a strong convective yellow warning signal: it is expected that most districts and towns (streets) in our city (especially Huangjing Town, Fuqiao Town, Liuhe Town, Gangqu District, Shaxi Town, Shuangfeng Town) will experience lightning activity within the next 6 hours, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall of 30 millimeters or more per hour and strong convective weather such as 7-8 level thunderstorm winds in some areas. The Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, Emergency Bureau, and Meteorological Bureau jointly remind people to pay attention to prevention.
