The moderate high-pressure system from China extends to the upper Northeast, bringing isolated rain to upper Thailand. Cool mornings, a decrease in temperature, and strong winds are possible in the North and the Northeast. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough lies across the middle South, with the easterly wind prevailing over the Gulf and the South, bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall and isolated heavy rain to the South. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are expected to be about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershower areas. In addition, tropical storm “FENGSHEN” over the upper South China Sea was intensified to a severe tropical storm. It is expected to make landfall over the middle of Vietnam during 22-23 October 2025. After that, it will downgrade rapidly due to the extension of the high-pressure system from China to upper Vietnam and the upper South China Sea. This storm will not move into Thailand.
