At 20:52 on May 8, 2025, the Ziyun County Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow warning signal for lightning: it is expected that lightning activity will occur in towns such as Getuhe, Daying, Houchang, and Zongdi in our county within the next 6 hours, which may be accompanied by strong convective weather such as hail, short-term heavy precipitation, and strong winds, and may cause lightning disasters and accidents. Please stay away from large trees, corners of walls, or places with protruding metal objects. Do not hold objects with metal sharp corners upside down in your hands or carry them on your shoulders.

At 18:57 on May 8, 2025, Ziyun County Meteorological Station issued a yellow rainstorm warning signal: it is estimated that the rainfall in towns (streets) such as Sidazhai, Huohua, Getu River, Songshan, Daying, Houchang and Zongdi will reach more than 50 mm in the next 6 hours, and the rainfall will continue. Please do a good job in drainage and waterlogging prevention in low-lying and waterlogging prone areas.
