At 17:47 on July 20, 2026, Chengde County Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for thunderstorms and strong winds: it is expected that all towns and villages in our county will experience thunderstorm weather from this evening to night, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds of 7 to 9 levels, and some towns and villages can reach level 10 or above. At 16:11 on July 20, 2026, Chengde Meteorological Station continued to issue the rainstorm yellow warning signal: at present, strong rainfall has occurred in the central and northern towns of the county, and it is expected that rainstorm will occur in the county from this afternoon to the first half of the night, among which, the rainfall in Mengjiayuan Township, Sangou Town, Shihuiyao Town and other towns in one hour can reach more than 50 mm. The accumulated rainfall in 6 hours can reach over 70 millimeters. Please take precautions. The rainfall area overlaps with the previous period, and subsequent rainfall may cause secondary disasters such as flash floods, landslides, and mudslides. Please take precautions.

Guidelines

3. Cut off dangerous outdoor power supplies in low-lying areas, suspend outdoor operations in open areas, and transfer people in dangerous areas and residents of dangerous houses to safe places to avoid rain;
