At 19:36 on April 8, 2026, the Yangzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a strong convective yellow warning signal: it is expected that most towns (streets) in the northern part of Yangzhou city, the northern part of Yizheng, the northern part of Hanjiang, the northern part of Jiangdu, Baoying, and Gaoyou will experience lightning in the first half of this night, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, 7 to 8 level thunderstorm winds, and local small hail. The Municipal Office of Disaster Reduction and Prevention and the Municipal Meteorological Bureau jointly remind to strengthen prevention measures.
