At 19:00 on August 26, 2026, the Shanghai Meteorological Observatory issued a blue typhoon warning for Shanghai [level IV/general]: Due to the impact of Typhoon Shadir, the 18th typhoon of this year, gusts of 7-8 levels are expected to occur in most areas of the city on August 27-28, with gusts of 8-9 levels in high-rise buildings and coastal areas along the river. Please pay attention to preventing the adverse effects of the typhoon on high-altitude operations, transportation, agricultural production, etc.

Description

Within 24 hours may be or has been affected by a tropical cyclone, coastal or land average wind force is 6 or more, or gust can reach 8 or more and may persist.

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall make preparations for typhoon prevention in accordance with their duties;

2. Stop outdoor group activities and high-altitude outdoor dangerous operations;

3. Water operations in relevant waters and passing ships take active countermeasures, such as returning to the port to avoid wind or sailing in a detour, etc.;
