Funing County Meteorological Observatory issues orange warning for heavy fog

At 06:56 on November 1, 2025, the Funing County Meteorological Observatory upgraded and issued an orange warning signal for heavy fog: it is expected that most towns (streets, communities) in our county may experience strong fog with visibility less than 200 meters this morning, and some areas may experience extremely strong fog with visibility less than 50 meters. It is expected that the fog will gradually dissipate around 8 o clock today. The county emergency bureau (disaster prevention and reduction office) and meteorological bureau jointly remind to take precautions.

Description

Fog with a visibility of less than 200 meters may appear within 6 hours, or fog with a visibility of less than 200 meters and greater than or equal to 50 meters may have appeared and will continue.

Guidelines

1. Relevant departments and units should do anti-fog work according to their responsibilities;

2. Airports, highways, ferry terminals and other units strengthen dispatching and command;

3. Drivers must strictly control the traveling speed of vehicles and ships;

4. Reduce outdoor activities.

江苏省气象台2025年11月01日04时50分发布大雾黄色预警：预计今天凌晨至上午，徐州、连云港、宿迁中西部、淮安中南部、盐城中北部、泰州北部、南京北部和扬州大部等地区已经出现能见度小于500米、局部小于200米的浓雾或强浓雾，并可能持续。省应急厅（省防减救灾办）、省气象局提醒注意防范。
