Quanzhou Meteorological Observatory issues orange typhoon warning signal

At 21:30 on August 13, 2025, the Quanzhou Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange typhoon warning signal: Typhoon No. 11 of this year, "Yangliu," was located on the ocean surface about 140 kilometers southeast of Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province at 21:00 on August 13. The maximum wind speed near the center was 12 levels (35 meters per second, typhoon level). It is expected that Yangliu will move towards the northwest at a speed of about 30 kilometers per hour, gradually weakening in intensity, and will make landfall again along the coast of Zhangzhou on the night of the 13th. Affected by it, there were still gusts of 10-12 levels along the coast of our city from the night of the 13th to the morning of the 14th. Please take precautions!

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall make emergency preparations for typhoon prevention in accordance with their duties;

2. Stop large-scale indoor and outdoor gatherings, suspension of work, class, operation, market, and business (except for special industries);

3. On-water operations in relevant waters and passing ships shall return to the port to avoid wind, strengthen port facilities, and prevent ships from anchoring, grounding and collision;

4. Reinforce or dismantle structures that are easy to be blown by the wind. Personnel should stay in a wind-proof and safe place as much as possible. When the center of the typhoon passes by, the wind will decrease or remain static for a period of time. Remember that strong winds will suddenly blow, and should continue to stay. Take shelter from the wind in a safe place, and promptly transfer people from dangerous houses;

5. Relevant areas should pay attention to preventing mountain torrents and geological disasters that may be caused by heavy rainfall.
