Linzhi Meteorological Bureau issues a blue warning for heavy rainfall [Level IV/General]

At 17:30 on May 2, the Nyingchi Meteorological Station in Xizang continued to issue a blue warning signal for heavy rainfall: it is expected that from 20:00 on the 2nd to 20:00 on the 3rd, moderate to heavy rain (17~37.9 mm) will occur in most of Motuo, Bomi and some villages and towns in Chayu, heavy rain (25~49.9 mm) will occur in low altitude villages and towns in the south, heavy to rainstorm will occur locally, and heavy snow or sleet will occur in high altitude mountains such as Kalongla, Duoxiong La and Demla. Defense measures: Heavy rainfall can easily lead to secondary disasters such as avalanches and mudslides, and it is necessary to monitor disaster hazard points and take relevant preventive measures; High altitude mountainous areas have high snowfall intensity, slippery roads, and low visibility, so attention should be paid to road traffic safety.
