省水利厅与省气象局5月3日16时联合发布山洪灾害风险黄色预警:3日20:00至4日20:00，受降雨影响，耒阳市西南部、常宁市中部，桂阳县北部、永兴县西北部、嘉禾县西北部，零陵区西南部、祁阳市东南部、双牌县西部、道县东南部、江永县、蓝山县西南部、新田县南部、江华县、金洞管理区东北部、回龙圩管理区东南部等地发生山洪灾害可能性较大，请上述地区加强防范，注意做好实时监测和预警叫应等防范工作。

湖南省气象台2024年5月3日15时37分发布暴雨橙色预警：预计3日20时至4日20时，湘中、湘南大部分地区将出现暴雨，局地大暴雨，并伴有雷暴、雷雨大风等强对流天气，请加强防范。橙色预警区域：长沙东部、株洲、怀化南部、邵阳西部和北部、衡阳、永州大部分地区、郴州。
