At 16:10 on May 5, 2025, the Altay Regional Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for strong winds: it is expected that from the morning of May 6 to the morning of May 7, there will be a 7-8 level westerly wind in the valleys and plains of Altay region; Most of Jimunai County, along the Ertix River in Habahe County, south of Chonghuer Town in Burqin County, Sarhusong Township, Kalashilik Township, and Alahak Town in Altay City, Wulunguhu Lake District and Huangwolhai Area in Fuhai County, Kalatongke Town, Dure Town, Karabulegen Township, Qiakurtu Town, and Kizilexilik Township in Fuyun County, and Sartohai Township and Takshiken Town in Qinghe County can reach wind speeds of up to level 9; The wind power of Kekexun Mountain and Omar Tao in Burqin County, as well as the CGN wind farm in Altay City, can reach 10-11 levels.
