Changshu Meteorological Observatory issues orange warning for severe convection

At 17:43 on August 12, 2025, Changshu Meteorological Observatory upgraded and issued an orange warning signal for severe convection: it is expected that most areas of our city (Xinzhuang Town, Shanghu Town, urban area, Shajiabang Town, Meili Town, Zhitang Town, Guli Town, Dongbang Town, Yanjiang and other areas) will experience lightning activity in the next 6 hours, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds of level 10 or above, short-term heavy rainfall of more than 50 millimeters per hour, local hail and other severe convective weather in some areas. The Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, Emergency Bureau, and Meteorological Bureau jointly remind people to pay attention to prevention.
