At 18:26 on May 2, 2025, the Lankao County Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for thunderstorms and strong winds: it is expected that within the next 6 hours, Lanyang Street, Tongxiang Street, Huian Street, Guyang Town, Nanzhang Town, Kaocheng Town, Hongmiao Town, Guying Town, Dongbatou Town, Xiaosong Town, Yifeng Town, Sanyizhai Township, Mengzhai Township, Xuhe Town, Putaojia Township, Yanlou Township and other towns and streets will be affected by thunderstorm and strong winds, with gusts of up to level 8 and locally level 9, accompanied by strong lightning, and may continue.
